American citizen suddenly dies in foreign country ?

A family friend of mine went on vacation in September and was suppose to return around this time but suddenly died. His death is still a question,family say he died in his sleep with intoxication of charcoal that was lit in his room to keep warm; others think he was poisoned. Its still a mystery. Shouldn't his body be flown to America and a autopsy be performed for the family and friends to receive some closure in what really happened?
