Wolf dogs..really do make great pets..?

I would get one 3 generations away from pure wolf. Some states ban them. But, yeah, they do make great pets with the right owner. The first time I saw one was on the beach playing Frisbee with its owner. Though the people around the wolf-dog looked uncomfortable.
