Do cognitive proclivities indicate, or at least correlate with IQ?

I read that after adolescence, environment plays a very minimal role in IQ reflection and the hereditary factors really kick in and dominate. So, would cognitive proclivities in early 20's (immediately following adolescent stage) correlate with IQ?
