I'm looking to upgrade my virus protection. Does sbc or yahoo have any afforable monthly plans?

I have windows 2000 and need protection from virus'. My brother and I are tired of infecting each other and he recomends norton. I am low income so would be happy with a monthly plan. I have sbc global and am wondering if the current protection provided enough to protect me from infecting or being infected?
