Internet on ps3 using fedora 5?

I can't get a strong signal on my ps3 for wireless internet(which is not mine, but i get it on my pc using a USB network adapter which runs through an operating system) and was wondering if i could install fedora 5 on my ps3 to install the network adapter and get internet. i know its possible,but i don't know if you can use it to play ps3 games online
