Bleeding after plan b?

When I used plan B (the condom also broke!) I wasnt on birth control but had had my period the week before, I started bleeding again, even heavier than a regular period. When I consulted my dr he said it was very unlikely I would have gotten pregnant at that point in my cycle. i hope to have been of some use!
