Is buying a official cartridge stupid?

Hey guyz so here is the thing. I usually download games from torrent for my psp but this game Crisis Core is so amazing for me that i became a fond of it. This is the only game i want to buy on a UMD without piracy to put it in my shelf as a collectors value. is it a stupid idea?
