Ps3 wireless network keeps dropping connection?

Your laptop is probably on a different frequency and also has a better wireless configuration than your ps3, thats why it "stays connected"...you could try changing the ip address of the ps3 or set it to ign automatically as that could also cause a problem with other wireless connections trying to use the same ip as a connection......also check your router config to make sure it doesn't reset the ips....thhis is labeled differently in each configuration but it ususally is laberled something like "keep alive" set it so that it doesn't change......turning off the ssid just makes it so that whnever someone in the area scans for available networks, yours isn't listed as a named connection.
