Subaru impreza or civic si for college?

I need to get a new car for college. So far I like the honda civic si, because it is like the wrx but does better on gas and cost the same as the standard impreza's. Also, the SI's do really good on mpg, and have a 6-speed ! Then the si comes in a coupe! That way it is nice small and compact and ppl won't use me for rides (:. Only thing good about the subaru is the awd! Plus I think they cost a lot more to insure?
